I founded “LA” Harris because I believe in the potential of people to transform! Dynamic people use their gifts to inspire and empower people to achieve their personal best.
I believe in the power of words. Words that embrace, include, diffuse, educate, invite, question, stretch and challenge. I loved the people I led and was humbled by their trust, dedication and belief that I could help them achieve their personal and professional best and the organizations success. I learned effective leaders are both students and teachers. If we don’t embrace the world with curiosity than we miss the hope of becoming something better. We miss defining our own legacy!
My core values include family, faith, creativity, accountability, trust, justice, safety, knowledge, integrity, adventure, curiosity, and gratitude. These values along with my work ethic have allowed me to connect with people across all industries and cultures. I coach leaders to create inclusive cultures where learning, growth, strategy, accountability, business acumen, emotional intelligence, creating constructive conflict and difficult questions push people to engage each other at higher levels of performance. I blend data, history, science, human behavior and finance into the decision making process to address the needs of diverse audiences. I am interested in people and organizations who see inclusion as a competency not a department or a class.
Dare to Bear Fruit chose me! Each of us has fruit, better known as gifts and talents. We are being called …dared….to share those gifts, learn our lessons, then share the wisdom developing from the joy and trials of life. I learned to laugh at myself and to share my lessons as part of being pruned.
My work dares me to keep evolving, to be in service, and to impact people’s lives. How can we leave a legacy if there are no lessons learned? No failures, challenges, nor questions asked about our purpose? Healthy people and organizations understand the impact of toxic environments. Toxicity drives down overall ROI, recruiting and retention, Full Time Equivalent (FTE), customer engagement and brand image. None of us like pruning, however, when it takes place, leaders lead because systems and policies are understood, just and actionable. The culture is motivating, innovative and safe. Under these conditions, the fruit is prosperous!
My prayer is my legacy speaks to being in service to those I can help through work or volunteer activities. I am honored to be the recipient of several leadership awards and a Phenomenal Woman award.
My career resume highlights skills such as strategy, consulting, professional coach, motivational speaker, educator and trainer, influencer, and a bridge builder. It also highlights my ability to be comfortable with being uncomfortable to achieve success and impact the world.
Welcome Courageous and Curious partners who are ready to co-create a new future…..plant seeds then bear fruit!
